Open Chakras


It is so easy to find chakra cleansing and balancing, guided meditations on YouTube that I thought I would share with you the desired results of the meditations rather than the practice.
I like Crystal Beach Chakra Healing Meditation as it is easy to follow, and I like the man's voice! So, you could try that one. The voice in a guided meditation can make it or break it so that's a very personal choice.
I find it quite strange that there are so many meditations but few explanations as to the desired effect of the practice. Again, you can Google galore and research the benefits of chakra healing, so I am going to give a bite sized guide as to why it's worth taking the time to relax for twenty minutes or half an hour and feel so much better for it.
If you look at the picture (above) you can see the chakras, energy centres, in the body. We start at the root, at the base of your spine and work upwards.

The Root Chakra.
Red. 
Survival
When the root chakra is open and balanced, we feel safe and fearless.

The Sacral Chakra
Orange
Desire
When this chakra is open and balanced, we feel a sense of abundance, well-being, and pleasure.

The Solar Plexus Chakra
Yellow
Willpower
When this chakra is open and balanced, we feel worthy and confident.

The Heart Chakra
Green
Love
When this chakra is open and balanced, we feel love, joy, and peace.

The Throat Chakra
Blue
Expression
When this chakra is open and balanced, we can express our feelings and our truth.

The Third Eye Chakra
Indigo
Intuition
When this chakra is open and balanced, we have clear thoughts, and our intuition awakens.

The Crown Chakra
Violet
Insight
When this chakra is open and balanced, we attain universal love and wise understanding.

Please don't be put off by the word, 'meditation' or think you must have a certain type of personality to practice, even if you simply relax for half an hour while you listen to the guide, you will have slowed your chattering brain and chilled out, which can only be a good thing.
You can also find overnight meditations if you are too busy to give up any time in the day, I must warn though, that these can make you sleep so deeply that you might miss your alarm or be none too pleased to have a toddler climb on your face at the crack of dawn, shouting " WAKE-UP it's MORNING TIME AGAIN!!!!"
