Those who voted to leave the EU, those who rejected the advice of their own government, most economic experts and international allies now find themselves adrift. By signalling the end to Britain's 43 year membership of the EU, Britain now finds itself in a new world of risk. What did the Leavers, mean by leave? The Remain vote was singular while the Leave vote was plural. The result was not a simple rejection of the EU but a howl of protest against the impact of globalisation and migration. The Leave campaign never specified whether it preferred a Norwegian, Canadian, Albanian or some other alternative model of relations with Britain's biggest trading partner. Each of these models and Mrs May's current plan will involve a dilution of the riches and resources we currently enjoy. Did it say anywhere on the ballot paper that the leave vote was for a 'soft' or 'hard' Brexit? How many Leave voters gave any consideration at all to the Irish Border, that unfixable problem, that circle that cannot be squared? The UK did well inside the EU. Those trying to take us out are doing a terrible job. The infighting has taken over from the big issue. The government is in disarray. The people are far more illuminated on the intricacies of a real departure from the EU, and what a huge mistake it will be. I truly believe that the only answer to the calamity that is Brexit is to revoke Article 50. The people of Britain deserve a chance to think again, not only to leave or remain but to wait and pray for an orderly government to take our country forward.

                                                      I've been off the blogging scene for a while as I've been having chemotherapy but that's finished now, thank goodness.    I did not retreat from The Times, Below the Line however, in fact that has been prolific, there seem to be so many things to get annoyed about, I'm talking politics of course and mainly Bloody Brexit.           I have republished some older posts from artycelia.com but left in place all the Brexit (Brexiety) posts.                                   'Life Scripts' are stories that we tell ourselves as we try to understand what is going on in our lives. They are like a narration to self and are the way we tell stories about our own lives, in our own minds. These could be stories from the past, the present and/or the future. These stories or life scripts, help us feel safer in life because they make our lives seem predictable and constant with a set of fixed rules- 'things always go this way.' However, these 'life scripts' can sometimes be very damaging to our sense of self, to our relationships and to our ability to reach a sense of purpose and meaning in our lives. To prevent further damage, a therapist will work with their client to examine the life script the client relies on to understand their life.
