I wonder if politicians ever tune into their 'intuition.' My 'intuition' would be telling me not to go down the DUP route as it will probably alienate: The huge gay community in Britain and across the world. The huge LGBT community in Britain and across the world. The entire women's movement in Britain and across the world.  The zillions of citizens in Britain and across the world who are very worried indeed about climate change. My intuition would be telling me that by alienating huge swathes of disaffected voters I may well be shooting myself in the other foot. Delete

No Brexit is better than a Botched Brexit. Let's call the whole thing off.  If Mrs May is seriously considering the DUP there will be anarchy in the UK. A summer of discontent.  But will she listen????? Delete 20 Recommend

  I have accepted the result of the referendum, I didn't like it, that much is obvious. However I believe that now the whistle has been blown the game has to be played. (In this case though, it's more of a tournament)  I am not prepared to idly watch the game from the sidelines, or walk away picking my nose displaying a total lack of interest in the tactical expertise of all the teams in the tournament. I want to keep a close eye on the referees and all the players. I want to question any decision I believe to be wrong. I want the referees and the linesmen to show fairness, I don't want a bunch of bullies to referee the games. No-one can predict the outcome of Brexit. Predictions are just educated guesses which is why we have to play the game. And as in a  game what happens off the field matters. Finally we would do well to remember that last year's wins don't mean anything. Bloody Brexit. Delet

Goodnight everyone. It's good to know that we live in a democratic society. I would urge everyone to vote tomorrow, if you can't decide between the main parties then vote for the Green Party, but vote anyway. Your vote, even if it's the very first one you have cast means you are engaged with the future of your country. And believe me, that is very important and will be ever more important as you make your way forward in life. Delet

Ho hum. Over the course of the last few weeks I have found Jeremy Corbyn's speeches to be quite interesting and insightful I have found Theresa May's speeches to be robotic and dull. I find it interesting that opponents of JC keep harking back to bygone eras, well, with respect, we are not all as old as Methuselah. I am well aware of a fast changing pace in terrorism and therefore the need for a fast pace to eradicate it. I believe that these ' new' terrorists are gullible, naive twerps who are struggling with their sexuality and masculinity when living in a society that respects different points of view, admires strong women and is forward looking. If they can't stand the heat, I suggest they stay out of the kitchen. They are weak drips and should be portrayed as such. Is there a political party out there that agrees with me? Delete

Britain is doing fine being a member of the EU.  'Better the devil you know' is my opinion. If I found myself PM on June 9th I would make my first task ( after eating a croissant and drinking a double espresso) to reassure the other member states that Brexit was indeed a protest vote but that new negotiations on our membership were necessary. Through intelligent and peaceful debate ( bit worrying as TM doesn't DO debates, and let's face it, she is much more likely to be PM than me))  I would attempt to re-draw the lines that upset the Brexiteers, but then, what are they? Too many immigrants? Erm, who was your consultant in A&E last week when your child fell off the roundabout in the playground? Fishing rights? Do you think Brexit will mean we can keep all the fish? May 31.2017 Oh dear. .."They see Theresa May as playing an old person's game: narrow, defensive, punitive and lacking in optimism"- was such a miserable description it made me laugh out loud (LOL)  I have always talked politics to my daughters who are aged 30 and 27- and we have had many lively debates. We all voted Remain. (I didn't twist their arms, honest) I have more faith in 'the young' than they seem to be afforded.  Perhaps we should encourage the miserable, bitter grandparents and older parents to debate the election with their younger family members.  Hopefully after listening to the narrow, defensive, punitive and pessimistic views of the oldies the younger generation will hot-foot it to the polling stations in an effort to fight for their rights and brighten their world.
